Our board

The Board of Trustees of the Stiftung Chance für das kritisch kranke Kind is made up of medical and nursing specialists at the Children's Hospital Zurich and members who are anchored in professional and family life.

Barbara Brotschi Aufdenblatten

Barbara Brotschi is a private lecturer in paediatrics, especially paediatric intensive care and neonatology at the University of Zurich. She heads the interdisciplinary intensive care unit A at the University Children's Hospital Zurich. In her daily work in the intensive care unit, she experiences how the services of the Stiftung Chance support critically ill children and their families. Barbara Brotschi is married and has a daughter and a son.

Daniela Bosshardt-Hengartner

Daniela Bosshardt-Hengartner is a nationally certified pharmacist and worked as a financial analyst at various companies. Today she is a management consultant in the pharmaceutical, medical and biotechnology sectors. With her commitment to the Foundation Board of Stiftung Chance, she contributes to relieving the burden on critically ill children and their relatives. Daniela Bosshardt-Hengartner is a mother of two boys.

Evi Ehrensperger-Schaub

Evi Ehrensperger-Schaub worked as secretary to the management at Ecosens AG, Environmental Management Consultant. She got to know Stiftung Chance as a mother of a critically ill child. Since then, she has been committed to giving back some of the support she and her daughter have received. Since April 2022, Evi Ehrensperger-Schaub is managing director of Stiftung Chance.

Claudia Furrer-Kübler

Claudia Furrer-Kübler is a paediatrician. She works in the paediatric practice at Römerhof (formerly Dres. Alfred Löhrer and Beat "Beatocello" Richner) and at the Children's Hospital Zurich for Children's Rehab Switzerland. Her work with children who have had accidents and are seriously chronically ill has sensitised her to the needs of these children and their families. She is married and has two daughters.

Corinne Mertzlufft

Corinne Mertzlufft is a businesswoman and, after various professional positions and additional training, is now Business Development Manager at the Swiss company Panolin International Inc., responsible for the Onshore Business Unit. She describes herself as a team player who likes to "get things moving".

Rebecca Pfaffen

Rebecca Pfaffen works at the Children's Hospital Zurich as Deputy Head of Nursing on Intensive Care Ward A and is Co-Head of the hospitals Ethics Committee. As a certified expert NDS HF in intensive care, Rebecca Pfaffen experiences first-hand how valuable the complementary services offered by Stiftung Chance are, for example the Care Team. She is the mother of a son.
